“COME TOGETHER CONCERT”
- a successful story
2002 “Come Together” aid in Zambia:
In collaboration with the Zambian Ministry of Education we have identified 4 schools that will benefit from the Come Together aid.
The selection of schools to receive a donation was carried out in the following way:
-
Head teachers of schools were invited to write a project proposal to discuss how the donation could be used to benefit children in their respective schools.
-
A committee was constituted at the office of the District Education Officer to assess the proposals.
-
Four schools were identified as being worthy recipients. These four schools were chosen because they planned to implement sustainable, self-help programmes.
2002 “Come Together” aid in South Africa:
In South Africa, the responsibility of identifying a suitable project has been given to the South African Embassy in Oslo.
The “Come Together” 2002 concert, which is a follow up of the world conference against racism held in South Africa in 2001 will be organized in collaboration with the South African Embassy, Purr Productions and Stageway.
